Since I teach at a small liberal arts college, it probably won't surprise you to learn that teaching is very important to me. Here is a list of some of the philosophy courses I have taught:

For many years, I used to teach at Harvard Medical School's Clinical Bioethics Course. I've offered sessions to clinicians on the following topics:

  • The relevance of philosophy to clinical bioethics
  • Rationing and distributive justice
  • QALYs and cost-effectiveness analysis
  • Utilitarianism
  • Disability
