Personal

I am originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, where I graduated from PTHS (ФТШ) high school (no. 566) in 1990. I emigrated together with my family to San Francisco Bay Area same year, 1990 - they still live there, so I visit there often. I did my undergraduate studies in math at UCLA, received a Ph.D. in math at the University of Texas, Austin, and then did a postdoc in the math department of Texas A&M University. I am on the faculty at the math department of Claremont McKenna College since 2007.
