Title: Weighted convolution algebras
Abstract:
We will survey results about the
convolution algebra L^1(R+) and its weighted analogues. We still
start by “reminding” ourselves about classical results about
convolutions in general, and then describe the special properties of
convolution on R+ . We will then concentrate on relatively recent
results about convergence and homomorphisms for convolution algebras on
R+ . We will see that the weak* topology on (the measure algebras
containing) weighted L^1 algebras plays a crucial role.
